Red Rubber Mulch

How to use Red Rubber Mulch
How much to buy. Multiply the area's length by its width in feet. Each 40 lb bag covers about 10–12 sq ft, so divide by 10 and round up for full coverage: a 6 x 8 ft area (48 sq ft) takes 5 bags.
Spreading it. Rake it into an even layer. Keep it pulled back from plant stems and tree trunks rather than piled against them. Rubber floats, so keep it out of spots where runoff collects and away from water's edges, where it can wash away.
Upkeep. Rubber mulch does not decompose and, unless it gets scattered, may never need replacing. Rake stray pieces back into the bed.
Good to know. It does not add nutrients or organic matter to the soil. Rubber burns, so keep it away from fire pits and other open flames.
