Insecticides

Insect and mite controls for South Florida gardens, fruit trees and lawns; we carry 12. Read and follow the label for the plants, pests and amounts each product allows.

For organic gardens. Neem Oil Concentrate and Fertilome Neem work as insecticide, fungicide and miticide. Fertilome Spinosad Soap Spray and Spinosad Soap Concentrate kill insects and mites on contact, as does Insecticidal Soap Concentrate.

Systemic protection. Systemic Insecticide Drench is taken up by the roots of trees and shrubs. Hi-Yield Systemic Insect Granules protect roses, flowers, shrubs and container plants, but not edible plants.

Scale, whitefly and lawn pests. Malathion Oil and Malathion 50% E.C control scale, whiteflies and spider mites on citrus and ornamentals. Hi-Yield Kill-A-Bug II Lawn Granules treat chinch bugs, armyworms and ants in lawns. Snail and Slug Bait controls snails and slugs, and Fertilome Mosquito Go is a yard fogger for mosquitoes and gnats. For plant diseases, see Fungicides.
