Dwarf Crown of Thorn
Euphorbia milii 'Rosy'

How to care for Dwarf Crown of Thorn
Light. Plant it in full sun for the most flowers.
Water. Water while it settles in. Once established it is quite drought tolerant. It does not like wet soil, so let it dry between waterings.
Soil and feeding. It grows well in sandy, shallow or rocky soil as long as it drains well. In pots, use a well-drained mix.
Size. Grows to about 3 ft as a small shrub. It also does well in a container.
Problems to watch. Scale, mealybugs, thrips and mites can show up; treat with Insecticidal Soap following the label. Soggy soil leads to stem and root rot.
Good to know. It tolerates salt spray. The milky sap irritates skin and can damage eyes, so wear gloves. Keep it away from children and pets. Protect it from frost.
