Cone ginger is a member of the ginger family. It is a beautiful ornamental plant whether grown in the ground or containers. This specimen has wide luxurious leaves and uses colored bracts to accentuate their much smaller flowers that are tucked away among them. It does best in full shade and a moist, well-draining soil.
