Slash Pine, South Florida

Pinus elliottii var. densa

    This Slash Pine is native to South Florida. It can adapt to dry conditions and is also commonly seen growing in very sandy soil. A fairly fast growing pine that is great for giving off some shade or filtered light. Sometimes referred to as "Dade County Pine" that extends from the Florida Keys up into central Florida.
