Small palm trees. For entryways, patios and narrow side yards, choose a palm that stays short: Coontie (3 ft), Dwarf Palmetto (3–5 ft), Sago (5 ft), Scrub Palmetto (5 ft), Silver Saw Palmetto (6 ft), Pygmy Date Palm (8 ft), Bottle Palm (8 ft) and Lady Palm (8 ft). Lady Palm, Sago and Coontie also take full shade.

Florida native palms. Florida Thatch Palm, Key Thatch Palm, Buccaneer Palm, Silver Saw Palmetto, Scrub Palmetto and Dwarf Palmetto are native to Florida, along with the palm-like Coontie. They are well suited to the climate and to wildlife-friendly yards.

How much does a palm tree cost? Price mostly follows pot size. Our 7-gallon palms run $44.95 to $129.95, and 25-gallon palms $224.95 to $424.95. Delivery is a flat charge per order that depends on your ZIP code, starting at $65 in our closest delivery area. Pickup at our Cooper City nursery is free.
