Biscayne Prickly Ash is a hardy Florida Native, it's name comes from the "prickles" or spines that grow along the branches. It can be used as a small to medium-sized tree or large shrub. It blooms all year with small, fragrant green-white flowers that attracts pollinators and birds who enjoy the fruit. This species is quite rare, due to it being endangered in Florida and they are a host plant for Giant Swallowtail butterflies.
